What Medicare actually asks.
Medicare’s standard is that leaving home takes considerable and taxing effort. She can still go to church. She can still make it to a grandchild’s birthday. What matters is what it costs her to do it.
If the honest answer involves a wheelchair, a lift, a second person, a special vehicle, an entire morning of preparation, or a day of recovery afterward, that’s the standard met.
