The work
Six to eight visits a day. 45 to 60 minutes each.
A panel you keep, so you find out what happened to the patient you saw last month. You’ll practice at the top of your license and you’ll make judgment calls alone in someone’s front room. That suits some clinicians enormously and not others.
Honest about the hard parts: you drive a lot, you work alone most of the day, and patients you have known for two years die, and you often find out by phone. Clinicians who last here tend to have done hospice, home health or geriatrics before.
